Morality, Slime, Prison, and Time

If thinking about the Foundations of Morality is weighing you down, take on some real weight contemplating Moral Skepticism.

For something easier to digest, consider pink slime. Now that the dust has settled, it seems that the slime has been part of hamburgers for the last 20 years or so and the maligned slime has been a major contributor to food safety. Naturally, popular thinking is against it and several producers have exited the market, some in bankruptcy. In a progressive society, no good deed goes unpunished.

Speaking of punishment, the revival of debtor prison is a disturbing trend.

Sometimes good deeds are merely unnoticed. Time Magazine’s Most Influential People is decidedly old school. I bet none of them subscribe to Time.
