I can understand why our President is reluctant to call his new “jobs bill” a “stimulus package”: the concept of stimulus packages has gotten a bad name, and for good reason. But whatever you call it, the problem remains the same. Megan makes some of the most charitable assumptions possible, but she also references some practical real world input in her analysis. It’s easy to see why stimulus efforts don’t have the desired effect, even if executed flawlessly … and “flawless” can never be associated with our bloated government bureaucracy. Read it and decide for yourself. If you have real world experience on the ground, the hopelessness of the President’s plan is obvious. Unfortunately, he has no such experience, not does his Cabinet, nor does his staff. Thus we are treated to another round of White House dreck that wastes our time, money, and people.
