Repealing the Tenth Commandment

Professor Bainbridge has a great post which touchs on a number of important issues:

Government cannot guarantee you a good life, but it can protect you from some of the worst life has to offer.

Our system of checks and balance is intended to protect us from the worst that politicians can do.

Government cannot make people better, although it can make some better off at the expense of others.

The Tenth Commandment has particular applicability to many contemporary issues.

I bet Congress would like to repeal the Tenth Commandment.
